What is Dry Mounting? Over time, Catholic-art prints that are mounted with staples, tape or glue either begin slipping in their frames or develop air bubbles behind them -- depending on environmental factors. Dry Mounting is a process that eliminates that problem. A sheet of heat-activated adhesive is evenly placed between the Catholic-art print and the foam board and then put into a flat heat press (like a giant clothes iron). The art is then firmly leveled in the dry-mounting press at approximately 250 degrees F (the catholic art print is protected by a non-stick substrate). The press flattens the Catholic-art print and, through the heat, permanently and evenly adheres the Catholic-art print to the foam board. This process is perfect for any Catholic-art print you buy on our Archival Rag paper or Museum-Grade canvas. Dry Mounting for any size is a flat $35. Please contact us for further questions or assistance in choosing your custom framing options.
