High Mass at a Fishing Village on the Zuyder Zee - Clausen
Giclee, Fine-Art Print of Museum Quality on the finest heavy-stock paper using archival inks.
During the age of industrialism, artists turned to themes of the natural and the unpretentious country life. Sir George Clausen was one such artist who saw the innocence and naturalism in the rustic life of the country people. His many paintings illustrate this vision of the rural ways of life. His first famous painting was High Mass at a Fishing Village on the Zuyder Zee in which he showed a church overflowing with people offering their prayers to God. The children in the very back are praying the rosary.
